Welcome from the Head

IMG 0403 (1)Welcome to Woodford Green Preparatory; our happy, vibrant and thriving school.

At WGPS, we believe that every child is capable of great things. We encourage our pupils to strive to do their very best through a commitment to academic rigour and excellence, without compromising on the breadth of opportunities and experiences within the curriculum and co-curriculum that make for an innovative and progressive learning environment.

Pupils learn best when they are happy and feel secure. Our talented and dedicated staff work hard to ensure that our pupils are supported through individualised pastoral care and personal development.

Our curriculum is broad and exciting, designed to stimulate a life-long love of learning. Pupils become knowledgeable and intellectually curious, but they also develop independence, resilience, open mindedness and kindness. This is reflected in our most recent ISI Inspection Report which says, 'The social development and collaboration of pupils is excellent. There is a profound culture of care and kindness across the whole community and relationships are warm and mutually supportive'.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to welcome you to our school. Please do contact us to find out more about our very special learning community.

Better still, why not come and visit us!

Miss Lisa McDonald
